Built on experience, driven by doing it right
Removals of Sussex wasn’t started by someone who came up through the industry. It was built on something more useful, having moved house more times than most people would choose to, and years spent helping friends and family do the same. We know from personal experience what a good move feels like, what a bad one feels like, and exactly what makes the difference between the two.
Alongside that, Richard has spent years running Sussex Caterers, managing teams, coordinating logistics, and delivering a service where showing up on time and doing the job properly isn’t optional. Those same habits, that same standard, transferred directly into Removals of Sussex.
We’d also seen, time and again, how inconsistent and overpriced some removal companies can be. Customers let down on moving day. Vague quotes that turned into something else. Belongings handled carelessly by people who didn’t seem to care. So we set out to do it differently, not to be the biggest removal company in Sussex, but to be the most reliable one.

I founded Removals of Sussex because I genuinely believe this kind of service, reliable, careful, straightforward, shouldn’t be hard to find. Moving is already one of the most stressful things you can do. The removal company you choose shouldn’t add to that.
I’m on every job personally. When you call us, you speak to me. When we turn up on moving day, I’m there. That personal accountability is something I take seriously, and it’s why so many of our customers come back to us, or refer us to friends and family.
